Welcome to our website and a glimpse into our practice. The year 2015 is an exciting one for us as we celebrate our 125th anniversary of providing animal care in Whitley County.  Browse around our website to find more about our history, involvement in our community and how we serve our patients and clients. Our practice provides full service veterinary medical and surgical care as well as behavioral services to care for all your pet's needs. We strive to always give the best care with the least stress for your pets and make your experience with us an enjoyable one. Dr. Colleen Quinn

Veterinarian & Practice Owner

Dr. Quinn started at C. C. Veterinary Hospital in 1992, after graduating from Purdue University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. She is married to her husband, Randy and they have two children, a daughter, Stacy (19) and a son, Nicholas (11). Dr. Quinn has a real love of community and has developed many longstanding relationships with families and their pets in the Whitley County area.  She has 8 dogs, 7 cats, several mini horses and a goat (all rescues!). Dr. Quinn has many interests and hobbies including Agility, dog training, developing community pet emergency planning, and helping families integrate children and pets. She also enjoys boating and relaxing at the lake with family, spending time with her animals, reading, and following Purdue sports!

Dr. Marisa Tong, DVM

Dr. Tong has been with the C.C. Veterinary Hospital since January of 2016. Dr. Tong attended the Franciscan University of Steubenville and went to vet school at the Ohio State University. She grew up in Toledo, Ohio surrounded by siblings and dogs but now lives in Fort Wayne. She has a Rescue terrier named Marty McFly. Her professional interests include: general practice, lifelong wellness, client communication and education, team work, and for the best care of pets and their families. Some of her hobbies are board games, traveling, drawing, reading literature, and scifi movies.


Office Manager

Michele started with C. C. Vet back at the original location in 1987. She has filled just about every position at our hospital!  Michele is from the area and has seen several generations of pets come through our doors. She is married to Ray and they have four children: Jill, DVM (Mark), Kristi, AUD (Michael), Angela and Kellie. Michele enjoys spending time with her grandsons, Holden and Eliot and granddaughter, Katelyn. She has two rescue dogs, Daisy and Tyku and a cat, Iris. She enjoys sewing, reading and doing puzzles in her free time.


Veterinary Assistant

Linda has been with C. C. Vet since 1991. She has had extensive experience in the animal care field, starting back with her military service, working with Service Dogs. Linda is a “Jill of all trades” and helps with surgery prep and recovery, treatments for sick and injured pets, running lab work and xrays and taking care of the surgical suite. She has 3 married daughters and 9 grandchildren. She has 3 horses, Libby Lou (Rocky Mountain Horse), Chocolate Chip (Pony of Americas) and Snickerdoodles (Miniature Horse). She has an additional menagerie of 7 dogs, 8 cats and 8 chickens! Linda loves spending time with her grandchildren, trail riding, gardening and just hanging out with her critters.


Facilities and Maintenance

Robin has been with C. C. Veterinary Hospital since 2005. She keeps our facilities, rooms  and grounds clean and looking attractive. Our holiday decorations and attractive flower containers are all courtesy of Robin!  She is a life-long animal lover and is the proud owner of 3 impressive Great Danes, Tie Dye, Hudson and Lacey (aka Ethel Mae). She has 12 rescued and well-cared for cats, a donkey, 3 goats, 2 Alpacas and an assortment of fowl including, turkeys, chickens, peacocks and ducks! In her spare time she loves spending time with all of her animals!

Sheridan Shepherd

Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

Sheridan started with C. C. Vet in 2013. She was finishing her externship, studying for her Veterinary Technician Licensing exam and planning a wedding! Sheridan is a graduate of the Veterinary Technology Institute at IBC of Fort Wayne. She grew up in North Manchester and now lives in South Whitley. As a technician, Sheridan will often check your pet in, monitor him or her during surgery and recovery and discharge your pet at the end of the day. Sheridan has a special interest in pet dentistry and oral health. She married her husband, Brandon, in 2013 and they have a sweet dog, Tequila and a feisty kitty, Minnie. In her free time, Sheridan and Brandon love to travel and play sand volleyball.


Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

Natalie started with C. C. Vet in 2014, after completing her externship with us and is a graduate from the Veterinary Technology Institute at IBC of Fort Wayne. Natalie has had a life-long interest in animals and participated in Whitley County 4-H. She assists the doctors during exams, participates in client education, and assists in surgical procedures and an array of other tasks.  Natalie has 2 dogs; a German Shepherd Dog, Czar, and a beagle, Shorty, 7 Cats; Peyton, Bandit, Wicket, Missy, Eva, Joon, and Sophie, and a Chinchilla named Luke. Her house is basically a zoo!  She finds her job very rewarding and can’t picture herself doing anything else.  Natalie likes to spend her free time reading, writing, listening to music, playing video games and hanging out with her family.


Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)/Receptionist

Michele started with us in 2015 after completing her externship and graduating from the Veterinary Technology Institute of IBC Fort Wayne. She recently passed the VTNE exam to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. Michele also has a degree in Biology from Anderson University.  Michele assists the doctors during exams and treatments, helps with surgery prep, client education and greets and helps our clients and their pets when at the front desk. She lives in the area with her mother and sister.  She loves working with all pets – cats, dogs and exotics!  Michele has 1 dog (a Schneagle), 1 feisty Tortoiseshell cat and freshwater, tropical fish.  Michele likes science fiction, exotic animals and reading. She likes hanging out at the lake with friends, family and animals in her free time.


Veterinary Assistant/Reception

Miranda has been with C. C. Veterinary Hospital since 2013. Miranda is a “Jill of all trades” and helps the doctors with treatments and, during office hours, she works at the front desk greeting clients, handling phone inquiries.  Miranda also runs our doggie daycare program!  She has two very happy Labrador Retrievers, Daisy and Saddie and two very busy kitties, Bella and Tigger. When Miranda is not helping our clients and their pets, she and her husband, Ryan, enjoy fishing, hunting  and taking walks in the evening. She also enjoys shopping, watching movies and hanging out with family and friends.


Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Karma started with C. C. Vet through her externship and graduating from the Veterinary Technology Institute of IBC in Fort Wayne.  While Karma loves all animals, she has a special affinity for cats – and they for her!  Karma can be found helping clients and their pets, assisting with treatments and anywhere she is needed. Karma lives with her family and many pets including 6 cats (Buck, Cole, Tobey, Fabio, Comet, and Kiara) 2 Foster cats (Jinx and Jaspurr) and 3 dogs (Lestat, Roxie and Brodi).  In her free time, Karma likes walking through the woods, fishing, shooting, skydiving, bike riding, hanging out with family and friends, exploring, watching movies and shopping.


Veterinary Assistant

Brittney has been with C. C. Veterinary Hospital since 2015. She is a graduate of the Veterinary Technology Institute of IBC Fort Wayne and completed her externship with us.  Brittney assists the doctors with exams, surgeries and other treatments, as well as helping to educate clients about their pet’s health needs.  Brittney grew up around animals on a farm that raised beef cattle, swine and crops. She is married to her husband, Ryan, and they are the proud pet parents of a beautiful and sweet Bernese mountain dog, Bentley and 3 rescue cats: Mocha, Chevelle and Shea.  In her free time, Brittney loves the Outdoor Life – hunting, hiking and working on her family’s farm. She and Ryan enjoy spending time with family and are involved with youth leadership at their church.

Kenley Fugate

Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

Kenley started her externship with us in October of 2015. She is a graduate from the Veterinary Technology Institute of IBC in Ft. Wayne. She started working at C.C. Vet in February of 2016. Kenley monitors surgery, assists with exams and does many other technician duties. Kenley met her husband Schyler in 2009. They married and had their first son Liam in 2013. They have a German Shepherd named Millie. Some of her hobbies include: reading and spending time with family and friends.
